Frequently Asked Questions

Does each prospective speaker count towards my plan's registration limit?

No, we don’t charge for a person to create an account to submit their proposals to your event.

They only count towards your registration allowance when you have approved them as speakers and they have accepted their session offer.

How many sessions can they submit to my event?

You set the limit of the number of sessions they can submit to your event. The default setting is 3, but you can set this to 1 or 100, it’s down to you.

How do I control when my call for content opens and closes?

You can set the dates and times your call for content is open. When it is open the call for content call to action buttons and web page is displayed. When it is closed, these are hidden from view.

What do prospective speakers see when their session is in review?

When the prospective speaker logs in, the default status of their submission is set to ‘in review’. This does not change if you’ve set the status internally to shortlisted, Approved, or Rejected.

The speaker is only shown the true status of their submission once you’ve send the approval or rejection emails. At which point, their real session status is viewable to them.

Can the speaker make changes to their session after approval?

The speaker may make changes to their session abstract after approval, but their session title, category, and duration cannot be changed by them. If they have co-speakers, they can remove or change a co-speaker up to the same limit as approved. For example: if they have 1 co-speaker, but they have pulled out, the speaker can add 1 replacement or remove them.

You as an admin have full control and can override any of the default behaviors.
