How do you make event badges?

All badges are made onsite at your event. Prior to your event we create your badge design to your specification, then load this onto our badge printing software.

At your event, when an attendee scans their ticket, the badge is printed immediately.

All badges are full color print. This means that your design is printed on the badge blank label on demand. 

Unlike other badge printing solutions that use thermal badge printing, you do not need to buy pre-printed badge rolls with your design on. This means we can offer the best prices and also less waste and reduces your carbon footprint.

How fast is your badge printing solution?

Providing the attendee has their QR code ticket ready to scan as they approach the kiosk, a check-in and badge print takes less than 10-seconds.

Typically we operate a 2:1 ratio. For every 2 scanning kiosks, we supply 1 printer for use between them.

As a guide, a 1,000 person event can be printed in less than 1 hour using 6 kiosks and 3 printers with a check-in rate of 16 people per minute.

What are the badges made of?

Our badge labels are made of durable adhesive backed matte paper 96.5 x 276 mm in size with each side printable area of 96.5 x 134mm. Badge labels come pre-punched to suit both single and dual clip lanyards.

Badges can be discarded into recycling bins.

What do I need to supply when booking onsite badge printing services?

Our standard badge printing service includes hardware and personnel. We will bring all our printers, computers, scanners, cables, and network.

We will need you to arrange the supply of registration desks, these could be trestle tables, sufficient power, and 1 x hard wired internet connection to the registration location.

Our kiosks can work using the venue WiFi. At large exhibitions this can get congested and while the kiosks will run fine with local cache, access to real time reports may be affected.

Alternatively, we can provide our own internet if there is sufficient 4G connectivity available (subject to pre-event assessment).

Our premium badge printing solution includes all registration desk supply. You can choose from table cloth design, to full pop-up booth custom designs. These will be supplied and setup by us.

How do I print my own badges?

If you want to do it yourself, you can do. There are a few ways you can do this:

  1. We can pre-print your badges in bulk and send them to you prior to your event.

  2. You can export your attendee and ticket data to CSV and import the data into you chosen badge printing software or solution.

  3. You can purchase your own kiosk hardware and labels and install our kiosk software. You can find the hardware and label specification here.
